About Us

The Withlacoochee Gulf Area Chamber of Commerce is not a Civic Club, Charitable Organization or Department of City Government. The Chamber is a private, non-profit tax paying organization. It unites service, Business and Professional Companies. This creates a unique central agency working to improve Business and build a better community over 90% of the membership will be small Businesses interested in prospering and creating a healthy environment in which to conduct Business and network.
 
The most important aspect to the Chamber is PEOPLE. People who realize that through the Chamber they can accomplish collectively what no one of them can do individually. The strength of the Chamber lies in the number of its members, thus creating a pool of resources from which can be drawn ideas, energy and finances.
 
The Board will be composed of Local Inglis/Yankeetown business leaders who will volunteer their time and to make sure that the many and varied programs of the Chamber are carried out. I make the point that they are volunteers. To clear up one very common misconception no public money supports the chamber office financially.
 
 
The Chamber can help peoples or Businesses that are looking to relocate into our area by providing information on our local services or the many activities that are offered to tourists, places to stay or eat, go fishing.
